and grained ivoroid heel cap. The tuners are Grover open-back butterbeans (18:1
Ratio). The peghead features the Deluxe Tennessee MOP design in an Ebony
overlay. The fingerboard features an original design by Mark Taylor inlaid with
Mother of Pearl and Abalone inlays. It also has D-45 style slotted diamond
abalone markers at the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, with ovals at the 17th and
19th frets.
This guitar has excellent action with a great setup. She is an absolute cannon
and will blow you away with her sound. It has all of the power and boom of a
pre-war Martin with very clean and balanced tone. The overall condition of this
guitar is excellent, but it does have some minor wood checking on the back,
there are no other cracks anywhere on the guitar and the top is nice and flat
and in excellent condition. The wood checking on the back does not take away
from the sound of this guitar at all and other than the minor checking, Mark
considers this guitar to be flawless.
