Running with a group gives you motivation

Training with a like-minded group of runners can keep you motivated to get out the door...after all, there is nothing like having to answer the question, "Why didn't you make the run?" when you know you really slept in.

When it is hot and muggy out there, you know your friends are waiting for you.  When it is cold and rainy, you know your friends are waiting for you.  And on the flip side, your friends know that you are waiting for them.

So join a group.  There are several clubs listed in this section, as well as charity training groups, developmental youth teams, and racing teams

How to get involved

It does not matter how fast or how slow you run, there is usually someone running at your pace looking for a running partner.  After a while, you discover that you don't have to be fast to enter as a team, and there you go!
