Many people have found inspiration and training partners by participating in fund-raising efforts to help combat
debilitating or terminal illnesses.
Typically a participant pledges to raise funds for a cause, and having reached that goal, then completes a destination
marathon with the training group.
Alaska, Hawaii, Ireland, Bermuda, and Disney World are just a few of the destination marathons that these groups
target.
They hold informational meeting throughout the area to discuss various marathons.
